Get reliable and accurate heading information with the easy-to-install, GPS-based GC20 satellite compass.

 

When the satellite compass is connected to the radar, a true motion echo trail is provided. True motion echo tracking helps determine the movement of own and other ships. The accuracy of the heading and the perceived speed ensure that the wake is displayed in smooth lines. Compensating data for the fish finder system can make the display immune to vessel pitching. In bad weather, the sonar system shows instability on the screen, and the satellite compass provides tilt and roll compensation data to help stabilize detection.

If the ship already has a gyro compass, the added satellite compass constitutes a more reliable dual compass system. If the ship is already installed with a magnetic compass, the accuracy cannot meet the needs of safe navigation, and there is no digital output to connect other mandatory equipment, such as AIS; adding a satellite compass can get the best results. For ships without a compass, installing GC20 is cost-effective and reliable.
