Product Introduction
Doppler speed log
This series of products use the technology of measuring the ship's speed and range by using the Doppler shift between the emitted sound wave and the received reflected wave, which is in line with the relevant performance standards of IMO (International Maritime Organization), and can provide high- precision, multi-directional speed data for many marine navigation equipment.
Product Function
This product is a kind of navigational instrument to measure the ship's speed and accumulated voyage. It provides speed information, longitudinal and transverse speed information to ship owners and many navigators, realizes automatic ship positioning and facilitates ship maneuvering and automatic avoidance.
Influencing factors
The DL9000/HDL9000 uses the Doppler shift between the transmitted sound wave and the received reflected wave to measure the ship's speed, and the depth of water can be measured within a range of about 3m, but at some distances, the measurement data cannot be obtained due to the low number of drifting organisms. This happens at certain times of the year and in certain areas of the water. Possible reasons for this are the large amount of melting ice covering the surface of the ocean, resulting in the presence of plankton in deeper water, and the same can be said for clean water. In these cases, the DL9000/HDL9000 will not be able to measure the correct boat speed.
The effectiveness of the DL9000/HDL9000 depends on the correct operation of the system and the environment in which it is used, and its accuracy may be affected by the following environmental factors:
Adverse weather (typically sea state > Class 6)
Incorrect transducer installation (e.g., too close to the proximity pusher, drain, sounder transducer)
Water depth below the keel < 3 meters
Water temperature, salinity (speed of sound in water)
Heel angle > 10°
Introduction
This product uses the Doppler shift between the emitted sound wave and the received reflected wave to measure the ship's speed, which conforms to the relevant performance standards of IMO (International Maritime Organization), and has already obtained the CCS certificate, and can provide high-precision, multi-directional speed data for many marine navigation equipment.
Features:
● Configuration of various types of sensors: single and dual axis configurable for various frequencies, single axis for front/back speed measurement, dual axis for front/back/left/ right speed measurement
● The speed information measured by the speedometer combined with the heading information provided by the gyrocompass or magnetic compass can be used to derive the ship's position.
● Multiple NMEA0183 outputs, pulse and analog, provide highly accurate speed information for marine navigation equipment such as satnavs, auto-integrated navigators, ARPAs and true motion radars
● Provision of longitudinal and transverse speed information to modern large or very large ships to ensure their safety when navigating, docking and anchoring in narrow waterways.
● 7.0-inch color touch screen display unit, providing the speed to water (STW) and travel distance information, more intuitive data, more convenient equipment.
