Installation Location of the Side Scan Transducer

1. The water flow under the hull must be smooth with minimal bubbles and turbulence.
2. The transducer must be continuously submerged. 3. the transducer beam must be unobstructed by the keel or drive shaft.

4. select a location away from interference from power and radiation sources; the lower the noise level, the higher the sounder gain setting that can be used.
5. select an accessible location within the vessel with sufficient clearance for the height of the stem and tighten the nut.

6. Select a location with the least amount corner.

Caution:

● Do not install in a straight line to or near water intakes or discharges, or behind transoms, poles, fittings, or hull irregularities that would interfere with water flow. Keep away from sources of vibration and isolate from vibration.

● Do not install the transducer where it may support the boat during hauling, launching, or storage to avoid damaging the transducer surface.
