SAIYANG Marine is a direct manufacturer of marine navigation electronics. This sonar echo sounder is designed to display the clearance below the ship and ensure safe navigation.
How it works:
The system calculates water depth by measuring the time between sending an acoustic signal and receiving its echo from the bottom. A transducer (mounted on the ship's bottom) sends sound pulses straight down. The sound reflects off the seafloor and returns to the transducer. This time measurement is converted into precise water depth.
