Mounting the echo sounder sensor to the boat
Mounting the Echo Sounder Sensor to the Boat: A Guide for Fishermen
Echo sounder sensors are critical tools for fishermen seeking to find fish and determine water depth. The right installation method is key to ensuring accurate readings and reliability. If you're planning to mount an echo sounder sensor to your boat, this guide will provide you with the necessary information for a successful installation.
Precautions for the echo sounder transducer installation
(1) 1/2 to 1/3 of the ship's length at the bow, with minimum interference noise around;
(2) Avoid the drain port and submarine valve;
(3) Can not reduce the hull structure and watertight;
(4) The working surface is level with the bottom plane of the ship;
(5) The surface should not be painted to absorb the sound energy and affect the depth measurement.
Selecting the Right Mounting Location
When selecting a mounting location, please note the following points:
- The nominal viewing distance of the display unit is 0.9 meters. Select a suitable mounting position taking this distance into account.
- Install the unit away from exhaust pipes and vents.
- Select a well-ventilated installation location.
- Install the equipment where shocks and vibrations are minimized.
- Locate the equipment away from equipment that generates electromagnetic fields, such as motors or generators.
- Allow sufficient maintenance space on the sides and rear of the equipment and enough slack in the cables to facilitate maintenance and servicing.
