FAQ of the EML9000 Electromagnetic Log

(1) How does your self-developed electromagnetic log work, and what makes it different from ordinary models?

Our electromagnetic log works on Faraday's Law of Induction, but with our self-developed core technology. A coil generates a magnetic field perpendicular to water flow; seawater induces an EMF, detected by built-in electrodes to calculate ship speed. Our unique independently designed signal processing chip reduces interference from water conditions and hull effects, ensuring stability.

(2)Can this electromagnetic log work in both saltwater and freshwater? I've used other models that fail in freshwater.

Yes, it works stably in both saltwater and freshwater. Traditional logs fail in freshwater due to low conductivity, but our product uses modified electrodes and enhanced signal amplification. Its self-calibration system adjusts automatically to water conductivity. A quick 2-3 minute manual check is recommended when switching between water types for optimal performance.
